Mangosteen is a tropical evergreen tree, native to the Islands of Indonesia, whose fruits have been valued since ancient times and coveted by explorers and travellers who searched it out for its original sweet and sour flavour and delicate texture. Legend tells that Queen Victoria offered a high reward for whomever could deliver her this fresh fruit, which may explain why Mangosteen is often referred to as “Queen of Fruit".
